Frequently Asked Questions
Billing
Q. Where can I find invoices and receipts?
A. You can always download invoices and receipts in your billing history here.
Security
Q. What encryption methods do you use to protect data in transit?
A. Externally: The use of encryption when personal information is transferred to and stored on our servers. Transmission between your browser and our web server is implemented using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. Internally: When Pachydata servers connect to our storage volumes, they are presented with a decrypted block storage device and all data is transmitted over isolated networks.
Q. What encryption methods do you use to protect data at rest?
A. Pachydata uses scalable, SSD-based block storage devices. Pachydata data is encrypted at rest, which means that the data is not readable outside of its storage cluster. Data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 (Advanced Encryption Standard with a 256-bit key) technology.
Q. Do you have a document or web page outlining your privacy and security policies?
A. Pachydata has a privacy policy here.
Q. Where is the data stored?
A. Pachydata data and backup storage is entirely located within the US, and spread across three data centers on the east coast.
Q. What is the data retention policy?
A. We retain all user data until the user either requests its deletion or closes their account, at which point the group database is decommissioned from the cloud provider.
